The KS-OMM Operating Mode Manager enables safe and flexible operating mode selection at test beds.

The KS OMM developed by KS ENGINEERS is a tabletop device that contains all the safety equipment necessary for operating test beds. The electronic key system enables maximum access security. A large touch display offers the greatest possible flexibility in terms of configuring and selecting operating modes. A red emergency stop button and a blue acknowledge button for manually resetting safety functions complete the system. All of these components are ergonomic housed in a high-quality aluminium casing in a contemporary design.

SYSTEM STRUCTURE

Up to nine access levels can be implemented on the test bed with the integrated authentication system and different electronic keys. Operating modes such as set-up operation, access operation, automatic mode, servicing, etc. are implemented according to customer requirements. The operating mode is selected via the touch panel in accordance with the access level of the inserted key.

The operating mode selection implemented in KS-OMM complies with safe parameter entry as outlined in section 4.6.4 EN ISO 13849-1:2015 and has been tested by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) to PLe as per EN ISO 13849-1.
