INVERTER TECHNOLOGY

Shaping power

With our flexible and highly dynamic power converter system, the Advanced Modular Power System (KS-AMPS), we can realize a wide range of applications, both simply and with optimization for specific requirements. The modular architecture ensures that functional and power enhancements are uncomplicated: A system solution, for instance, for highly dynamic control of electric motors, applications in electrolysis processes, tasks in the area of battery technology or combined applications, especially in high-end power ranges.


SCIENTIFIC APPROACH

Creating knowledge – using knowledge

The world around us is becoming more complex and increasingly high-tech. We face these challenges and employ scientific approaches and the knowledge and capabilities from various disciplines for systematic problem solving. The models and simulations we create enable the analysis and optimization of complex systems. This is especially useful when physical tests would be too laborious, tedious or dangerous. We create tools and use data analysis and interpretation to identify patterns and trends that would otherwise be overlooked. For technical manufacturing processes, we generate data analyses, for example, that forecast machine failures and facilitate the planning of preventive maintenance measures.


MODEL BASED CONTROL

Control based on system understanding

We develop simulation models capable of operating in real time as well as robust control concepts for demanding applications – for instance in the automotive and semiconductor industries. The combination of KS frequency converter technology, model-based control engineering and a holistic view of both the testing task and the test bed components forms the basis for the dynamics and precision our high-performance testing technology delivers.

Holistic automation

With our comprehensive in-house competence in software development, we realize flexible and powerful software solutions. This includes, among other things, the Tornado Software Suite – a freely configurable automation system that has been specially developed with testing technology in mind. DACO enables the intelligent acquisition and evaluation of production data from a wide range of systems, thus creating the basis for data-driven process optimization.
